Impactful Leaders Know who they are:

  • They know their SELF, their inner core of who they are.

  • They are willing to do the hard work to explore their beliefs, biases, and shortcomings and where these thought and beliefs originated.

  • They dig deep and look at the origin of who they are and why they think the way they do and how this way of thinking impacts others that they lead. They are always seeking feedback and improvement.

  • They carry these qualities into their personal life as well, their loved ones, wives, daughters, sons.

  • They are socially and emotionally mature, they are cognitively mature and willing to have their minds changed and take on a new perspective.

Self-aware Leaders lead with integrity they work at developing and having strong moral principles and willing to stand up for those principles even if it is not going with sheep. Being honest with themselves and others is a norm not an exception. I have found in my own career as a leader that making the hard right decision is not always easy even at the cost of someone’s their livelihood, position or status.

They don’t manipulate others to get what they want, they themselves see the foley in doing that. The toughest times in there their lives are when they are in a quiet moment and must live with their thoughts and come to reality of those thoughts and what adjustments in life need to me made.

Influential leaders don’t try to put themselves above others. They don’t let a status or position rule or own them, they respect that that position and the authority it holds but it does not define them as a person. They see those positionally under them as an asset not a nuisance. They see them as people recognize their humanity and his/ her success is based up the success of his team. He lifts them up not knock them down.

Leaders have a personal mission statement and the contribute to humanity rather live each day taking away from it. They always challenge their own limiting beliefs and behaviors.
